Bios
Kevin Wilensky
Chief Financial Officer
Kevin brings deep accounting knowledge and leadership to the team. Since receiving his Bachelor and Masters of Accounting degrees from Tulane University, he has worked at global accounting firms and local public accounting firms. Kevin was then hired as the CFO of a market research firm where he helped grow the top and bottom line significantly. In 2010, Kevin joined his family’s business, Wilensky & Co. to start a Business Advisory Division. At Mobients, Kevin ensures the company meets both long term and short-term financial goals.
Dana Kardon
Operations & Human Resources Manager
In her role as Operations & Human Resources Manager, Dana ensures that Mobients runs smoothly. She is a facilitator of all things functional and a conduit to the CEO. Dana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. Her education and research experience have led her to develop a deep appreciation for how innovative, user-centered design can enhance our everyday lives.
Ruby Chhatwal
Creative Designer
Award-winning designer. Brilliant project manager. Real-life rock star. Ruby co-led the acclaimed redesign of The Home Depot’s mobile experience. Before joining Mobients, she studied advertising at Florida, design at Creative Circus, and did head-turning work on a number of high profile accounts. In her “spare” time, she’s reviving soul music with her band, The Soulphonics.
Jeremy Fuerst
Creative Director
Our brand guru. Jeremy’s creative experience not only includes print, web, and mobile channels, but also audio production. His recent design work stretches from Home Depot’s iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone 7 apps ... to the redesign of Citibank mobile banking for iPhone. Jeremy has a BFA and has created branding and promotional pieces for Coca Cola, Cartoon Network, Universal Records, and others. Yet, visual design is only one outlet for his creativity – he’s also a fab musician.
Matthew Perry
CEO
Matt founded Mobients in 2007 to make the North American mobile experience something that would add value to people’s everyday lives, and to make that experience simple and easy to use. Matthew is a design-thinking executive with a proven track record of making things happen. With a degree in Mathematics, and a passion for design, Matthew drives the vision for Mobients. A former BMX racer, he’s in it to win it.
Yvonne Caravia
Chief Experience Officer
Creative problem-solver. Design strategy expert. With a BFA from University of Michigan and a MS in Information Design and Technology from Georgia Tech, Yvonne is a recognized thought leader who advises industry giants on mobile and convergent spaces. She was integral in spearheading the mobile UX team within AT&T and has worked with mobile leaders such as Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, and Verizon. Her ability to produce innovative design solutions is tempered with an eye for detail and a passion for process.
Eric Irvin
Executive Director of Design Strategy
UX consultant extraordinaire. Fashionisto. Risk-taker. Eric has over 15 years experience in consulting and user experience. He recently managed AT&T’s global brand and user experience with cell phone makers, plus the design and implementation of AT&T products on Android, Blackberry, WinMo, and Symbian platforms. Eric was a member of Deloitte's consulting practice and has experience in U.S., European and Canadian business operations primarily in the telecommunications, manufacturing and retail industries. Never afraid to take risks, Eric holds degrees from big rivals in the football-crazed state of Alabama. (We’re glad he lived to tell about it.) He earned his Finance degree at Auburn and his Information Systems degree at Alabama.
Juanami Spencer
User Experience Designer
UX expert. Detail-oriented designer. Mixed-media artist and writer. Juanami has designed user experiences for clients such as Qualcomm, Firethorn, and The Home Depot. A University of Michigan alumna, she brings a unique blend of skills to Mobients, including visual thinking, communication, and graphic illustration. Outside Mobients, she applies her creativity to painting and is working on a children’s book.
Jacqueline Walsh
UX Designer
User Centered Design specialist. Professional coffee geek. Jacqueline holds a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design where she studied Interaction Design, Industrial Design and Furniture Design. Her affinity for human factors and contextual research has drawn her to projects in ecommerce, and mobile marketing. With her extra energy, she builds furniture and is a competitive barista.
Brinda Cockburn
Manager of Design & User Experience
Ideator. Emerging Technologies Pioneer. Artist. Brinda brings a decade of UX consulting across a range of verticals and platforms with numerous Fortune 100 clients. She joined Mobients from the Publicis-Razorfish Emerging Experiences practice where she led engagements for major brands such as AT&T, Home Depot and State Farm. She holds an M.S. in Information Design & Technology from Georgia Tech, and a B.A in Interior Design from Florida State University. Currently Brinda is writing a white paper about the opportunities and challenges of Advertising as a monetization strategy in the Mobile space.
